BP CONSOLIDATED CONTROL ROOM

50,000 ft²

Our team worked with BP’s on-site staff to develop a conceptual design, business case and pricing centered around a consolidated control room.  BP’s aim for this study was to group all refining functions into one facility to maximize interdepartmental process communications and keep all control functions in a safe location.  The strategy included housing operators for 25+ refining units, integrating BP’s refining operations in a central facility, and providing a showcase for the company’s technology, efficiency and safety standards.  The result was to minimize the need for outside operators by enhancing digital control systems and improving up and down-stream communication between interior systems operators by consolidating them in a single, safe location.
